Hypernative and Fordefi today announced that they are expanding their partnership, bringing Hypernative's Transaction Guard directly into Fordefi's browser extension and mobile app. For teams running active DeFi strategies like swapping, bridging, lending, and yield farming across multiple protocols, Hypernative's simulation, risk detection, and risk context will now be available to members of the signing workflow from the moment a transaction originates through every stage of approval, signing, and execution.
Hypernative's Transaction Guard has been part of the Fordefi ecosystem for over a year as an external integration, already in use across multiple joint customers who leverage it alongside their Fordefi custody workflow. This native integration marks the evolution of that proven relationship, moving Transaction Guard from an external configuration into the Fordefi environment itself.
That track record now extends to both sides of the DeFi risk picture. Organizations running serious DeFi operations face two categories of risk that demand separate but connected responses. The first is pre-transaction: the risk that a transaction is sent to a malicious destination, interacts with a compromised contract, or leads to unexpected outcomes. The second is onchain: the risk that a protocol a team has invested in comes under financial or security attack, requiring a fast automated response to protect assets.
Hypernative has long addressed both onchain and pre-transaction risks, working alongside Fordefi to detect threats and trigger automated responses for teams managing active DeFi positions. For example, Clearstar, a Switzerland-based quantitative DeFi manager, is one team already running this combined stack: when a DeFi protocol they were invested in was exploited, their pre-configured automated exit via Fordefi triggered and completed before the team was even aware of the hack. The new native integration enhances the pre-transaction flows, extending that same proven depth to the moment a transaction is proposed inside Fordefi.
Hypernative and Fordefi already share a large customer base, from web3 trading firms to smart contract builders to institutions. We are happy to support our customers by creating a single secure workflow for submitting and executing onchain transactions.

How It Works

Transaction Guard is now accessible inside the Fordefi browser extension and mobile app from the moment a team member proposes a transaction. Hypernative's simulation and detection engine evaluates the transaction in real time before it is submitted for approval.
- Risk assessment at the proposal layer evaluates every transaction before it reaches any approver. If Hypernative detects a risk, the submitter sees the context immediately inside the Fordefi interface and can cancel before the transaction enters the signing queue, catching exposure at the point it originates.
- Full transaction simulation breaks down exactly what will happen onchain when the transaction executes, revealing token flows, contract interactions, and side effects in plain language. Teams initiating complex DeFi interactions can see every expected outcome before any signature is collected.
- DeFi-specific risk coverage brings Hypernative's detection depth to every Fordefi transaction, including phishing addresses, malicious contract interactions, offchain typed messages, account abstraction delegation, and multi-step DeFi operations across 300+ risk types.
- Custom risks and a robust policy engine with the Hypernative Custom Rule Builder enables a no-code experience for creating advanced checks, tailored to specific needs and use cases.
- A new field in transaction policy enforcement allows organizations to use Hypernative's screening status as a deciding parameter inside Fordefi's existing policy engine, alongside amount, destination, and asset type. Flagged transactions can be routed to require additional approvers, or blocked from submission entirely when a deny status is detected, bringing Hypernative into the enforcement layer alongside existing detection coverage.
Risk assessment is now accessible where decisions are made: at the point of proposal and approval.
Every organization has at least one person that submits a transaction and another person that needs to approve it. We've realized that both the submitter and the approver want to be aware of the security risks. The submitter will not send transactions if they have security risks, and the approver is the last line of defense. This integration ensures that all users are security aware. With Hypernative as an independent security validator, we also mitigate supply chain attacks.

Built for DeFi-Native Institutional Operations
For security and risk executives overseeing institutional DeFi operations, Transaction Guard answers a question that key management protection alone leaves open: what happens to a transaction before it enters the signing queue. Running natively inside Fordefi's browser extension and mobile app, it gives security leadership full risk visibility across the signing workflow within the infrastructure the team already uses, rather than alongside it.
Asset managers running active strategies on protocols like Aave, Morpho, and Hyperliquid will get risk context at initiation, before a transaction moves through the queue. Teams can encode counterparty restrictions, protocol allowlists, and screening-based rules as enforceable policies and receive immediate risk alerts when activity falls outside defined parameters.
Multi-role operations teams with distinct proposer and approver functions now have Hypernative coverage across both layers. Submitters see risk scores and simulation output before initiating, while approvers have documented risk context when they review. Every transaction carries a complete audit trail of the risks assessed and policies applied, supporting the documentation requirements that institutional LPs increasingly expect.
Funds managing cross-chain positions will receive Hypernative's detection coverage across 75+ chains through a single integration, with consistent simulation, policy enforcement, and detection accuracy regardless of which network the transaction executes on.
